About PhyDuck

Hi, here is PhyDuck. My name is Yuande Jin (金缘德), a senior at the University of Science and Technology Beijing, and I will continue my Ph.D. study at Institute of Semiconductors, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

I am currently involving in some research in the field of quantum information, particularly in quantum measurements and open quantum system dynamics. My first publication introduces the theory of metastability in discrete-time open quantum dynamics, in which we classify the eigenvalues of a quantum channel to fixed points, rotating points and decaying points. We find the decaying points with can show the properties of metastability, thus be called metastable points. We then prove if the free Hamiltonian of target system in sequential RIM is small, i.e., for the coupling , the metastable points emerge from parts of the fixed points of the channel with (the details about fixed points for such channel see the appendix and our another preprint paper), and the system shows metastability. We also conduct some simulations. Details see our publication in Physical Review A.
